To better service its growing customer base in Cape Town, Loadtech has added a service component to its Cape Town business, Quarrying Africa can report. Based in Robertson, the new service technician is responsible for servicing all clients across all Loadtech’s product groups, including Loadrite and VIGA.

“Traditionally, we have always had a sales in Cape Town,” says Glen Webster, sales director at Loadtech. “Due to the growing customer base in the region, and in our quest to further grow our business, we have decided to add a service component to our business. This will improve service turnaround times for our customers in the region.”

In future, Webster says the plan is to open a fully-fledged branch in Cape Town. “Aftersales support is an important parameter in our line of business. A sale is one thing, but being able to support the customer once the product is operational in the field is quite another. That is why we continue to invest in our aftermarket regime,” he adds.

In line with its efforts to beef up its aftermarket support, Loadtech has also recently added another technician to its support team. In addition, the company has appointed Loutjie van der Merwe as brand manager for the Loadrite business, responsible for sales and service.
