New Volvo EC550E punches above its weight
Having introduced the first Volvo EC550E unit late last year, Babcock reports increased demand for the new 55-t class excavator. A major talking point is the new Independent Metering Valve Technology hydraulic setup, which allows the machine to punch well above its weight with production more in line with 60-65 tonne (t) class machines.
