As part of its dealer expansion programme, Astec Industries, through its Africa and Middle East (AME) business unit, has appointed Eurasian Machinery to distribute and support its full Materials Solutions range in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. The partnership provides customers in this growing territory with not only a broad range of Astec’s crushing and material handling solutions, but also a proven aftermarket regime.
According to Oguzhan Toprak, Regional Manager, Turkey and CIS at Astec, the appointment of Eurasian Machinery provides a strong support base for Astec’s existing equipment, while opening up new doors in the region.
When appointing the dealer, several factors were considered, including Eurasian Machinery’s great reputation in CIS countries, its proven track record with top brands and its wide footprint in the region, experienced staff and its aftersales support prowess.
“We are glad to have a dealer of Eurasian Machinery’s calibre in this important growing market. We have a high population of existing equipment in the territory and this cooperation provides a fitting aftermarket regime for our customers in the region,” says Toprak. “Eurasian Machinery’s wide branch footprint also affords us representation in new markets such as Kirgizstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.”
A joint venture between Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and NIPPON Machinery, Eurasian Machinery already supplies some renowned global construction and mining equipment brands such as Hitachi, among others
“The Astec Material Solutions range is a welcome addition to our stable as it complements our existing offering, allowing us to provide crushing and screening solutions for the first time,” says Orcun Turkoglu, Deputy Sales Director, Mining Division at Eurasian Machinery. “We strongly believe that our existing market share with our current brands in the Central Asian mining industry will provide a strong synergy and create new opportunities for Astec.”
Growth in infrastructure and construction projects, as well as several other industrial and mining applications are driving demand for crushing and screening equipment in the region. “Undoubtedly, the crushing and screening sector continues to grow in the region. Having an OEM partner like Astec Industries, a leading manufacturer of high-performance, high-quality crushing and screening equipment for a wide range of applications, enables us to tap into this growing market,” adds Turkoglu.
Eurasian Machinery LLP employs more than 1 000 employees and has 20 branches in Central Asia. The company is renowned for providing its customers with high-quality technical services through 10 centres, including a high-tech Component Repair Centre in Karaganda City.
In conclusion, Toprak says he is highly excited about the growth prospects in the region. Greenfield mining projects including new gold, copper and coal mines, as well as new infrastructure projects in the territory provide massive opportunity for the Astec range of Materials Solutions. These include stationary and modular plants, tracked crushers and screens, underground mining machines from BTI as well as heap leaching and stockpile equipment from Telestack, among others.
