Case Bloemfontein and Ladybrand, located in the heart of South Africa’s Free State province, have expanded their product portfolios with the addition of Wacker Neuson machines. This gives agricultural and construction customers access to a comprehensive range of compact material handling solutions designed to meet diverse operational requirements.

With Case Ladybrand’s established presence in the agricultural sector, the initial focus will be on supporting local farmers with relevant Wacker Neuson equipment and solutions. In Bloemfontein, the dealership will also introduce Wacker Neuson’s construction equipment to a wider customer base.

The two branches are initially introducing five units, with plans to expand the range according to customer demand and local market needs. This approach ensures the product offering remains tailored to regional requirements and aligned with the machine categories represented by the dealerships.

Glenn Theron, Wacker Neuson sales manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, explains that the priority is to establish a sustainable, long-term partnership with Case Bloemfontein and Ladybrand, built on customer service, market development and mutual growth.

“This appointment gives us an opportunity to further strengthen Wacker Neuson’s presence and customer base in the Free State. In return, Wacker Neuson provides the products, technical expertise and support needed to unlock and develop these opportunities.”

Case Bloemfontein and Case Ladybrand are proud to welcome Wacker Neuson to their portfolios, marking an important step into the construction equipment market. For Charlene Badenhorst, owner and dealer principal of both Case branches, the appointment represents much more than adding another product line.

She believes the partnership creates opportunities to work more closely with contractors and municipal customers while offering a broader range of equipment and solutions, backed by the same personalised service and local expertise.

“With Wacker Neuson now available through two additional locations in the Free State, customers benefit from convenient access to machines, parts, servicing and aftermarket support, all provided by a team they already know and trust.”

Case Bloemfontein and Case Ladybrand have a long-standing history of supporting farmers and businesses throughout the Free State, serving the agricultural and construction sectors with world-class machinery, parts and technical expertise. Aftersales service remains a key part of the dealerships’ offering, covering maintenance, servicing and repairs within the agreed product scope.

Both branches operate fully equipped workshops staffed by qualified technicians, supported by established parts departments and responsive field service teams that attend to equipment at customers’ sites. These teams understand the importance of minimising downtime and keeping customers’ machines productive.

“For customers, reliability is critical; a machine that is not operating costs both time and money,” emphasises Badenhorst. “They need dependable equipment backed by strong service, particularly when challenges arise. This has always been our approach to business. Wacker Neuson is recognised for producing durable, quality machines built to withstand tough conditions. Although the brand is still growing in the region, its potential is clear. With established customer relationships, strong local knowledge and a reputation for responsive support, we are well positioned to establish Wacker Neuson as a trusted choice.”

Theron explains that Wacker Neuson was already familiar with the Case dealership network and its operations, providing a solid foundation of trust and understanding. “Building on this existing relationship, discussions began around exploring a closer collaboration and positioning the Bloemfontein and Ladybrand dealerships as valued Wacker Neuson partners. The appointments reflect a carefully considered strategic approach, underpinned by shared values, market reputation and technical capability.”

In the Free State, agricultural and construction activities often overlap, creating demand for versatile machines capable of digging, loading, material handling and general site work. “Wacker Neuson excavators and telehandlers address customer needs across multiple applications, matching the varied requirements of our market and making them a practical investment. We are confident they will perform particularly well,” says Badenhorst.

She adds that compaction equipment is also expected to gain considerable traction, driven by the significant volume of road and infrastructure projects currently underway across the region.

“To ensure our new dealerships can respond effectively to changing customer requirements and market opportunities, Wacker Neuson works closely with the Bloemfontein and Ladybrand teams on joint stock planning and support,” Theron explains.

He confirms that parts availability receives the same attention, with each dealer expected to stock fast-moving and frequently required items for its customer base. In addition, Wacker Neuson maintains substantial parts reserves to provide further support to its dealer network whenever needed.

Badenhorst is particularly impressed with the support Wacker Neuson has provided throughout the process. “Their team has been professional and responsive from the outset. The comprehensive sales and technical training is a major advantage for us as new dealers, ensuring our teams understand the products from day one and can confidently represent and support the range.

“Training is ongoing, with regular refresher courses and product-specific sessions provided as required. This ensures our sales and technical staff can offer accurate advice and deliver a complete range of services and aftermarket support, from maintenance and repairs to parts supply and responsive field assistance. We look forward to growing the Wacker Neuson brand, building lasting relationships with new and existing customers, and providing them with the right equipment, parts and service for many years to come.”
