BMG will once again participate at Electra Mining Africa 2026 (stands J10, J12 and K17), showcasing its extensive range of engineering solutions and technical services, developed and refined over more than five decades. The exhibition, taking place from 7 to 11 September 2026 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, is recognised as one of the continent’s leading platforms for the mining, industrial, electrical and power generation sectors.
BMG has a long-standing history of exhibiting at Electra Mining, reinforcing its leading role in Southern Africa’s mining and industrial sectors. The BMG team understands the value of this important show as an opportunity to demonstrate product innovation, integrated technical solutions and service expertise, while strengthening partnerships with global and local suppliers and customers.
At the 2026 event, BMG will once again highlight its position as a complete process solutions provider, giving customers access to quality branded engineering components, technical expertise and support through a single point of supply. This integrated approach helps reduce production costs, improve plant efficiency and enhance reliability across a wide range of operations.
According to Darryn Wright, Group Marketing Executive, BMG plays an important role in industrial and mining processes throughout the region. “We provide design and equipment selection services to project houses, supply OEMs and offer technical support to our broad customer base. Our long-standing partnerships with leading international manufacturers enable us to deliver the latest technology and customised solutions to meet exact requirements.
“There is an increasing focus on safety compliance, energy efficiency and sustainable operation across all the industries we serve. Our reliability-centred maintenance approach addresses these priorities directly. By supporting longer maintenance intervals, reducing unplanned downtime and extending equipment service life, the BMG team helps customers meet both performance and regulatory requirements. Electra Mining provides an important platform for BMG to demonstrate how our integrated solutions can deliver measurable improvements in these critical areas.”
The company’s stands will feature the latest products from its key specialist divisions: Bearings, Seals and Gaskets, Power Transmission, Drives and Motors, Materials Handling, Tools and Fasteners, Hydraulics, Filtration, Lubrication and Field Services. By selecting the right components and systems, BMG helps operators optimise machine performance, improve reliability and extend service life, supporting greater productivity and effective cost management.
BMG will launch the new Danfoss iC7-Automation Variable Speed Drive (VSD) enclosed range at the show, marking the local introduction of a drive platform designed by Danfoss to be intelligent, versatile, future-proof and reliable.
BMG and Danfoss Drives have enjoyed more than a decade of close collaboration since signing a strategic alliance agreement in 2015. This formal partnership strengthened BMG’s original distribution agreement for Danfoss VSDs and soft starters, which has been in place since 2007. Visitors to BMG’s stands will have the opportunity to see the new Danfoss iC7-Automation equipment first-hand and engage with BMG and Danfoss local VSD technical specialists to learn how the product’s intelligent, versatile, future-proof and reliable design sets it apart from other systems.
BMG’s services extend well beyond the mining and quarrying industries. The team also works closely with customers in agriculture, food and beverage, water and wastewater treatment, oil and gas, petrochemicals, construction and general engineering. New growth opportunities are also being developed in renewable energy and logistics, where BMG supports wind and solar projects and provides drive and materials handling solutions for warehousing and distribution facilities. These developments reflect broader industry trends towards diversified energy sources and more efficient supply chains.
On-site support remains central to BMG’s service offering. Mobile technicians provide breakdown response and routine maintenance, conduct troubleshooting and recommend improvements to enhance productivity. A 24-hour process support system further enables reliability-centred maintenance strategies that help keep plants operating continuously.
BMG’s online shopping platform, benchmarked against international best practice, gives customers access to more than 75 000 products, including bearings, power transmission products, seals, electric motors and motion control equipment, fasteners, fluid technology, adhesives, sealants, maintenance chemicals, hand tools and power tools. This user-friendly digital platform combines convenience and efficiency with technical guidance and personal support from BMG specialists.
